I may have spit on Vermont when I left...

Nothing again Vermont itself or the people that live there, but everyday we hiked in Vermont it rained. The trail was a constant churning mud pit. We had a great time.

We've been hiking constantly with Patch, his service dog Sophie, Oz, Logan, and Ned. We've been hiking together averaging 15 miles a day trying to finish the trail by the last day in July. We've been doing extra miles to make up for the tremendously tall, rocky, and steep White Mountains. There is a popular satin this far in. "You've hiked 80% of the trail and only done 20% of the work."

Hanover, where I'm posting from, is the last town the trail actually walks through town, so it might be the last solid sight of civilization we have. We're busy cramming pizza in us before heading out to another shelter in even more rain. (We were told Vermont was a 1/10 an inch away from having record breaking rainfall in June).

In any event were having a great time griping and hiking with the guys we've been with since Greylock.

About a month left. Goodbye Vermont! Final 2 states!
